How do I retrieve my BSC password or unlock my account or my password has expired?

If you have enrolled already, simply go to and click “Forgot Password / Unlock Account”. On the next page enter your Bay State username and click search.


You will have two options, answer security questions or send an email verification to your secondary email account.


If you choose Secret Questions and Answers, the system will randomly choose two out of the five questions you have in your profile. Answer them correctly, and you will be able to change your password / unlock your account.

If you choose Email Verification, the system will send an email with a code to paste in the screen. It will send this to your secondary email account.

Once you have verified who you are, you will be able to change your password. If your account is locked, you will be displayed with two options: Unlock or Change Password, otherwise it will direct you to change your password.


What do I do if my password expired?

If you have NOT signed up yet, you will need to contact the CTS Helpdesk at 617-217-9122, as they will need to perform a few steps to unlock the account first before you will be able to enroll / login.

If you have already signed up, simply click “Forgot Password” and follow the steps as noted above in the FAQ question “What if I forget my password or need to unlock my account”
